Core3 Solutions began working with Northern Lakes as they were breaking away from their parent company, Morey’s Seafood. Northern Lakes needed to build an in-house server network, and Core3 Solutions designed their network from the ground-up. Core3 installed 2 Microsoft Windows Servers using both Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft Terminal Server Technology. The new environment allows for reliable and secure local and remote access for users to email and shared applications. Core3 Solutions also provides Northern Lakes with 24/7 network monitoring and support.

Core3 completed a project with LaFontaine Motors to move all of their dealerships including 250 users from a Linux-based email platform to Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. Core3 was responsible for proper configuration of a new Exchange Server and migrating user computers and email to the new Microsoft environment. Core3 rebuilt the old Linux server to Windows Server 2003, adding additional hard disk storage and Symantec Backup Exec. This server was used to backup Exchange and select desktops across the network. Core3 continues to support LaFontaine Motors Exchange Server Environment.

DataFactZ had an environment that did not allow for centralized management of security, file and print sharing, or e-mail messaging and did not support remote access. DataFactZ needed to allow some employees the ability to access e-mail and data on the road or from satellite offices. They needed to connect their India office to an office in Farmington Hills, MI with a secure VPN tunnel for file sharing and a Voice over IP (VoIP) phone solution.
Core3 Solutions installed a Windows 2003 Server for central security, file and print sharing, bundled with Microsoft Exchange Server for e-mail and shared calendars including remote access. A Microsoft SQL Server was installed for application development and software testing. A centrally managed firewall and antivirus solution provided increased data protection while a VPN solution connected mobile users and satellite offices to the main office. Managed Services for 24/7 network monitoring and patch management are also performed by core3 Solutions.
