To know about us is to really know our culture and what we value. We have a belief at Core3 that it is culture that grows companies. Take a look around at some of the coolest companies that you respect, and undoubtedly you will find a pretty cool culture exists.
We wish we could give all the credit about culture to us, but unfortunately we cannot. Rather, we owe much of our focus to ants. Yes, that's right, ants. Not sure if you have ever checked them out, but they are quite an amazing little organism. Despite being incredibly small and almost unnoticed at times, it seems as if ants have quite a culture. So much so, that some have even dubbed them super organisms and follow their communication patterns in order to develop technology.
Despite the cool fact that ants can lift 20 times their own weight, and that if we could run as fast as ants we would be running as fast as a horse, we at core3 find them fascinating for an entirely different reason. We find them fascinating for the fact that ants seem to have the right perspective on growing their colony or for us their culture.
This culture that ants have has been narrowed down by researchers to include 3 key elements:
- Ants modify habits
- Ants tap resources
- Ants defend themselves
As we looked at these three ant elements, we at Core3 saw 3 key elements that we would need if we were going to continue to develop our culture. We knew that in order to thrive, strive, survive and grow our culture as well as the business of our customers, we like the ants would have to:
- Modify our habits - As a team we always have to be creative enough to learn to always do things more efficiently and in better ways. We believe this mentality truly benefits our customers as we always strive to bring the best ideas to life in the most efficient manner.
- Tap resources - As a team we had to find the vision to look at ourselves and our strengths, and daily determine how each team member can contribute in new and unique ways. This perspective has changed the way our colony operates on a daily level. We take this perspective into how we tap into the best concepts for our customers
- Defend ourselves - This may sound a little defensive, but hang with us on this one. As a team we need to continue to develop leadership skills that allow every team member to win. When we do this, no member of our "colony" is ever left vulnerable. When this attitude is adopted we produce amazing results. Just like we defend our team, we work that much harder to build a great defense into our customer's strategies. When we do this we see our customers growing in ways they never could have imagined.
Each year Core3 must pass technical, sales, and marketing competencies that require training and testing from Microsoft to qualify as a Microsoft Partner. In 2011 Microsoft deployed changes to the Microsoft Partner Program. These changes better define the which areas of expertise a specific Microsoft Partner has. Our technicians have completed Server 2008 Certifications and I have finished the Sales and Marketing assessments we are now a certified as a Silver Midmarket Solution Provider and have the Silver Server Platform Competency.
